Mars Chocolate Australia manufactures and markets many iconic chocolate brands including MARS®, MALTESERS®, M&M's®, SNICKERS® and TWIX®.
Mars Snackfood (as it was originally named) established its first manufacturing facility in Ballarat in 1979. We are now the 2nd largest manufacturer in the highly competitive Australian chocolate market and have gained fame with our leading brands and our unique way of doing business. The Ballarat site has developed new products that are now exported to the rest of the world, fostered talent that is sought internationally and made world-class technological advancements. Mars has also had a major impact on the Ballarat community. Our site is an important commercial hub that has not only allowed the area to thrive but is also considered a great place to work by Associates and external parties.
In addition to our head office in Ballarat, we have 2 metropolitan Sales offices (in Melbourne and Sydney) that are home to many of our Sales and Marketing Associates.
Mars Chocolate employs more than 500 Associates, and exports to over a dozen countries including New Zealand, the Middle East, Japan and many other markets throughout Asia and the Pacific.
