Frequently Asked Questions

• 1. Am I eligible to apply for the Mars Australia Graduate Program if I am not an Australia permanent resident?

  Applications will only be accepted from applicants who already hold Australian or New Zealand permanent residency or New Zealand or Australian citizenship.

• 2. What do you class as a Graduate?

  To be considered for the Mars Graduate program you must have completed an Undergraduate degree preferably within three years of commencement of the Mars Graduate Program. This is to ensure your studies remain contemporary with current business practices.

• 3. When does the Mars Australia Graduate Program commence?

  Our Graduate Program commences each year in January and participation is for two years.

• 4. What will happen when the Graduate Program is finished?

  Successful applicants for our Graduate Program will join Mars Australia as permanent Associates. When the Graduate Program has been completed, our Graduates will transition into other roles within the business, in line with career pathway objectives.

• 5. I will complete my studies mid-year and if I am a successful applicant for the program, am I able to start with the business earlier than January?

  Where it is mutually agreeable, in that Mars Australia has a need and the successful applicant is available earlier than January, an earlier commencement may be offered. In the event that an earlier commencement is agreed, successful applicants should note that the Graduate Program will not commence until January each year and participation in the program is for two-years from that date. 6. If I am unsuccessful in my application for the Graduate Program this time, can I apply for the program again? Yes, applicants are eligible to apply for the Mars Australia Graduate Program again the following year. Completion of studies must still be within - three years of the year of application.

• 7. If I am not offered a Graduate position, can I apply for other roles with Mars Australia?

  Yes, applicants who are unsuccessful are eligible to apply for other appropriate positions in Mars Australia.

• 8. I have majors in more than one area offered in your Graduate Program, can I apply to more than one discipline?

  You can apply for more than one discipline but it will require that you make more than one online application to enter our Graduate Program. If you have a discipline preference, we ask that you indicate that in your cover letter.

• 9. Where are the positions located for the Graduate Program?

  The majority of our Graduate Program positions are located at our Wodonga, Ballarat and Wyong sites. Sales vacancies are available at our Sales offices in Melbourne and Sydney, or in the field.

• 10. If I am successful and are required to relocate to join Mars Australia, will there be support and financial assistance provided?

  Yes, if relocation is required, Mars Australia will provide support to all successful applicants, including appropriate financial assistance.

• 11. I have been invited to an Assessment Centre and am unable to attend at the specified time and date, am I able to change my appointment time?

  Where possible, Mars Australia will amend Assessment Centre appointment times. Unfortunately, it will not always be possible to be flexible with appointment times and whilst every endeavour will be made to accommodate the applicant, we thank you for your understanding in this regard.

• 12. How do I provide my academic transcript?

  Applicants will be asked to provide their grades during their online application. If successful, applicants will be required to bring a certified copy of their transcript to the first Assessment stage.
