It takes about 10 minutes to complete and is all about finding out a little more about who you as a person, your study, achievements and goals for the future.
If your application is successful you’ll be asked to undertake some online testing that assesses your verbal, numerical and abstract reasoning skills.
Following this test you may proceed to our Video Interview stage. This is all about discovering more about your interest in working with Mars, and discovering more about your study and key competencies. Knowing this also assists us later with placing you in the best business rotations.
Should your interview succeed you’ll be invited to attend an Assessment Centre in either Melbourne or Sydney. At the centre you’ll participate in individual and group activities, meet Mars associates and of course, try some of our delicious products!
Do note that as part of our process a pre-employment health check will occur for your safety while working with us.
We accept a range of degrees, however for Engineering and R&D positions a relevant technical qualification is needed.
Applications for this program are currently closed.
We are investing time to evolve our current Mars Leadership Experience program with a focus on ensuring we continue to give graduates the right opportunities to grow and thrive with us. As such, we will not be recruiting for the 2020 intake of the Mars Leadership Experience graduate program.
We’re still investing in the early talent space and will have a number of opportunities available to join us outside of this particular program. We encourage you to keep an eye out for these on careers.mars.com and apply!
Our Graduate Program commences each year in January and participation is for three years.
When selected to join the Mars Leadership Experience program, you’ll join as a permanent Associate which means you’ll continue on with us following completion of the three rotations. You’ll transition into other roles within the business, in line with your career aspirations and development needs.
Given we place you in real roles, we’d firstly need to make sure that the role is available earlier. If this is the case, we can start available candidates earlier than January. In the event that we agree on early commencement, you should note that the Mars Leadership Experience will not commence until January and participation in the program would still be three years from then.
Of course you can! Just make sure you still meet the key eligibility criteria.
Absolutely, we have lots of other exciting roles available across Mars Australia. You can check out our current opportunities and join our talent community here http://www.mars.com/global/careers

Our program operates across a number of our sites in Australia including Ballarat VIC, Melbourne VIC, Sydney NSW, Wodonga VIC and Wyong NSW, so you’ll need to be flexible on location. This helps us to ensure you get the very best opportunities to develop.
